Purpose: I just wanted to fix the hump nose without an open procedure Diagnosis: If I don’t do an open rhinoplasty and only shave down the hump, the skin will be left over. They said that skin would sag and make the tip look even longer. It was the first time I’d heard that diagnosis. It doesn’t even seem like it needs osteotomy, so I wondered whether the amount shaved off the hump could really leave so much extra skin that the nose length would look like it’s dropping downward. Cost made up arbitrarily.
