It was just a total disaster. I went because my buried sutures had come undone, but I ended up with severe asymmetry in both double eyelids (uneven), and the fixation was so strong that my eyes became completely different from my previous natural-looking eyes. They said I needed eye-opening correction, so I had that done, but my eyes became even sleepier than before. I suffered from social anxiety for a while. And even though I had told them to keep the double-eyelid thickness the same as my previous buried-suture eyelids, they just made it at least twice as thick, turning me into a sausage-eyelid mess. If I said it seemed thicker, they just kept talking about swelling and scar tissue, so there was no point in even talking. Aftercare was basically nonexistent. I had to ask to get a follow-up check scheduled. Anyone could see the asymmetry, but the hospital just kept blaming swelling and made me waste time for ages. At the very least, shouldn’t the doctor come by right after surgery and say the operation went well or give some feedback? When I woke up from sedation and looked around the recovery room, the doctor had already gone home. Even more shocking, they said the fat they took from my thigh was being kept at the hospital, and I only found that out from a nurse in passing six months later. Why didn’t they tell me something that basic before surgery or on the day itself? Anyway, I’m the idiot for choosing a hospital with no minimum system in place in so many ways, sigh.
