It was my first nose surgery and my last hospital consultation. I already knew my skin was thick, and I had heard it a lot; every consultation I went to said the same thing. Because I have a bulbous nose, every hospital recommended donated rib cartilage, saying there wouldn't be a strong enough pillar to support it otherwise. He pointed out the asymmetry, explained how he would lift it and how he would raise the nose tip, and then asked if I had any questions before leaving. Then I spoke with the manager again, and it didn't seem bad at all, and I was lucky enough to get it done cheaper than the hospital I had consulted with before (price including donated rib cartilage).
