The doctor does not give off a particularly warm or gentle vibe. Maybe they look extremely tired and worn out..? And they do speak quite bluntly. So I can see why some people say they are unfriendly, but I did not feel they were unfriendly; rather, I liked that they explained things clearly. For my first surgery, I was only getting the tip of my nose done, but it was more than 1 million won more expensive than the other hospitals I had visited, so I 고민ed until the very end. I decided to go with Mint for the following three reasons. 1. Focus on safety - The doctor is famous for prioritizing safety, and when I went there, they explained things conservatively as well. They also clearly told me the limits. - They also said that my nose is not the kind that should have osteotomy, which I had not heard at other hospitals, but I trusted it and actually felt they were more professional. 2. The doctor's aesthetic matches mine - I really hate pointed noses and I hate flashy ones. They also do not suit my face. - Honestly... there are reviews saying it looks too natural, and when I looked at the hospital's before-and-after photos, there were indeed some photos that even I thought looked very natural. But since the doctor clearly explains the limits of surgery, I thought I could predict it to some extent in advance. Also, if I clearly explain my needs during the consultation, I think they will adjust within a safe range. - Anyway, I really hate anything that looks obvious, but when I looked at the reviews and after photos, I generally liked the shape. 3. Feels ethical - The AS period is longer than at other hospitals, and there are reviews saying they become even kinder from the operating room onward than they were during the consultation, plus clear aftercare, honesty about what cannot be done, and lastly, there are no review-discount events at all. For the reasons above, I felt they were much more ethical than other hospitals. In particular, if you look at some reviews, there are quite a few saying they happily responded to AS requests. The doctor seems responsible, so I felt I could trust them with it. Hmm, if I only write that much, it might look like I'm a broker, so I'll also write the downsides. 1. The doctor looks very tired - This part honestly worried me a bit. I kept wondering, are they really performing my surgery in that exhausted state..? And because they looked tired, I was hesitant to ask lots of detailed questions. Of course, when I actually asked, they answered well, but still, it did not feel comfortable. 2. They do not ask first during the consultation - Rather than asking about the nose shape I wanted, they focus exactly on how much and where they can improve the flaws. I had not voiced it first either, but for people with a very clear desired shape, this part might not fit. I even saved celebrity photos and thought hard about what shape I wanted, but there was not really a chance to talk about it during the consultation. They did lift my nose with a cotton swab and gave me a rough idea of the result, but from that alone it was not very clear... - However! I think they may not ask much because there is a time to check during the surgery. Standards like flashy, high, or rounded differ from person to person, so I thought seeing it directly is more accurate than talking about it. During surgery, there is a time when they check the nose shape and ask whether you want it higher, whether you prefer a rounder feel, what angle you want, what kind of nose tip shape you want, and so on. Maybe that is why they ask less during the consultation. - If you know exactly what you want, I think it is better to say it first yourself, even if the doctor does not ask, like: I like this! I do not like this! 3. The estimate It is so expensive... I only used septal cartilage and only did the tip for my first surgery, and it was in the high 4 million won range... I think the cost is the biggest downside. 4. Not under sedation They do local anesthesia in the nose after about 10 minutes of sleep anesthesia, and the surgery itself is done while you are awake. This process is not painful, but it is not pleasant either. It is closer to unpleasant, really. Honestly, I was very scared before the surgeryㅠ Luckily, unlike my worries, it did not hurt, so it was more bearable than I expected. But maybe this is a plus too.. there is no worry about a substitute surgeon, and anesthesia is not good for the body... When I checked the shape during surgery, I liked it more than I expected. I had worried that there would not be much difference from before, but that was not the case either. The staff are kind, the doctor personally checks the progress, and the aftercare is good. They are actually kinder in the operating room. I still do not regret doing it here. They removed the splint and I like the shape! I will have to wait and see as the swelling goes down, but if the tip of my nose becomes just a little lower than it is now, it will be perfect~~ I am satisfied~
