I was my top pick when I was researching, but my mind changed after I went for a consultation. They answered every question, but it didn’t feel smart. Rather than accurately diagnosing the patient’s condition, it felt like they were explaining every possible problem that could happen during surgery, and in the end it came down to "we’d have to open it up to see." The risk was too high for that, so I ruled them out. The consultation staff member also felt like I was listening to bank or insurance contract terms. It felt like they cared more about the hospital’s peace of mind(?) than the patient’s condition, and since the doctor’s approach was like that, I think the staff were the same. The communication didn’t feel smart, so I had surgery somewhere else.
