I’ve consulted at many hospitals, but this was my first time at a place like this, and I’ve watched their blog for a long time too, but if you go there you’ll be disappointed for sure. First of all, the coordinator at the desk is just one person who seems to be a surgery-room staff member, and they don’t give a good impression in terms of kindness either. The head coordinator doesn’t look professional and the consultation attitude is bad too (the answers are very light and have a do-it-if-you-want, don’t-do-it-if-you-don’t kind of feel). Most of all, the doctor was the biggest disappointment.. On the blog they act like they’re all so professional, but when you actually go, there’s only a negative vibe throughout the consultation, and if the patient brings up something worrying, they say things like “then go get consulted somewhere else,” “then why are you even having surgery,” or “don’t do it.” Instead of looking for solutions and thinking about a better direction based on this patient’s condition, they’re just defensive and evasive. I get that they don’t want to take on risk or complaints, but there still has to be some line. If I say anything, they say not to do it if I have those worries, with not even a hint of positivity. Even if a doctor is skilled, I don’t think there’s any need to have surgery with a doctor who only says negative things to the patient, always acts uncertain and defensive, and consults as if surgery is optional either way. You can already see what it will be like after surgery.
