I had surgery with buried sutures + eye correction, and it's been about 1 year and 4 months now. I originally wanted natural-looking eyes (correction for asymmetrical eyes), so I'm very satisfied now. After about a month, the swelling had gone down a lot, and I think the bruising lasted about 2 weeks. After the surgery, the anesthesia didn't wear off, so I couldn't open one eye at all... that part was really scary. And the swelling went down completely unevenly too... but it's okay now. If your swelling goes down unevenly after surgery, don't worry too much! Oh, and if you get motion sickness easily, think it over again. I used to get motion sickness on buses, but now I get motion sickness on the subway... They say the Mueller muscle fixed during eye correction affects the nervous system like that.
