I had surgery with Gore-Tex 10 years ago. I thought they had also done the tip, but when I went to different clinics for revision surgery, they said the tip had not been operated on. They had just added ear cartilage over the end of the Gore-Tex. I’m not too dissatisfied with the nose shape itself, but because it’s Gore-Tex it has become shorter. The columella was very asymmetrical right after surgery, so I had just the columella operated on again a year later, but it was still badly asymmetrical. So I’m looking into revision surgery. It was my first surgery when I was young, so I didn’t know much about plastic surgery and just trusted them. I think plastic surgery results are just luck for each person, but the problem was that when I had the columella revision back then, they didn’t use anesthesia;; They only used local anesthesia, and I thought I would definitely have sedation anesthesia. During the surgery I was so scared that I asked, “When am I going to fall asleep?” They said I’d fall asleep soon, but in the end they did the nose surgery while I was fully awake. The trauma from that still makes me reluctant to have surgery now, and I still haven’t been able to get revision surgery. Maybe they thought it was too much to pay for fixing the crooked columella for free;; If they were going to do it, they should have explained properly and operated, but they just kept lying during the surgery, the columella never improved at all, and all that was left was trauma.
