I already had a double eyelid, but as I got older my eyelids started to droop, my eyelashes would poke my eyes, and my eyelid also kept covering the eye, making it feel stuffy, so I decided to get plastic surgery and went around for consultations. I was very scared of surgery, so until then I had been substituting with minor procedures, but I had a complex about my bulbous nose, so while I was looking into my eyes, I got a consultation for my nose as well. Over the course of a week, I had consultations at 6 to 7 plastic surgery clinics, and while I was deciding between 2 or 3 of them, I ended up consulting at Onepick Plastic Surgery. The manager who gave me a kind consultation, and Dr. Oh Jae-yoon, who carefully checked my condition and suggested directions for improvement, earned my trust. They also said aftercare would be handled systematically, so I was able to decide to go ahead with confidence. For the eyes, some places said that since I already had a well-defined double eyelid, natural adhesion would be enough, while some hospitals said the drooping was severe and an incision was absolutely necessary. At Onepick, they said because the space between the eyes and eyebrows is short, making too large an incision could make me look harsh and stuffy, so it would be better to do an appropriate incision and natural adhesion in the necessary areas. For the nose, at other hospitals where I got consultations with CT scans, most said my septal cartilage was too small and that autologous costal cartilage or donated rib cartilage would be needed, but at Onepick they said septal cartilage alone would be sufficient, which I also liked. Also, I was in a situation where I needed surgery as soon as possible, and fortunately there was a canceled surgery slot the very next day after the consultation, so they negotiated the cost a bit more and things moved quickly enough that I signed the deposit and set the surgery date all at once.
