It has been three months since I had incisional double-eyelid surgery and under-eye fat repositioning. I did have natural double eyelids, but they were subtly different on each side, which quietly bothered me whenever I applied makeup. Then the area under my eyes became increasingly uneven, and my dark circles seemed to be getting worse, so I started looking into eye surgery. When I entered the consultation room, the doctor first asked what kind of crease and eye shape I wanted and whether there were any other concerns. I said I wanted symmetrical inner-out or semi-out lines and a clean under-eye area. The doctor checked my skin condition, basic eye size, and other factors, then recommended an inner-out crease because it seemed to suit me best. For the under-eyes, the doctor said under-eye fat repositioning could remove the dark-circle pigmentation or discoloration and that there would be less bruising, so I asked them to do that. Looking for a clinic was tedious, but I did not choose just anywhere. The director at [Clinic A] tried to preserve what I wanted as much as possible, showed me many after photos, and made an effort to check what kind of look I wanted, so I decided to proceed. When I told the doctor which eyes I thought were the prettiest, they said they would reflect that on my eyes so they could turn out similarly. After surgery, they really did look natural. At three months, most of the swelling and bruising had gone down, the under-eye area was neat, and I did not look older. The double-eyelid creases became symmetrical, so my eyes no longer looked uneven after applying makeup. It was not a dramatic change because I did not have extensive surgery, but personally the area around my eyes looks more orderly, and having properly formed double eyelids seems to make my impression look cleaner, so I am satisfied.
