The doctor spent a really long time on the consultation, about 40 to 50 minutes. They asked whether function or appearance was the priority, then explained in detail the functional problems in my nose from the CT, and even used something like an ENT microscope to look inside my nose. They put a cotton swab inside my nose and said that if they operated, breathing would be this much easier, and it really was easier, which surprised me. They asked if I had heard about the side effect of saddle nose, and said they were confident they could operate in a way that would prevent that side effect. They showed me their own blog while explaining things. No one had ever explained things to me this thoroughly before. That said, they pointed out functional issues that other places hadn't mentioned, so I'm a little conflicted.
