It has been about 3 weeks since my surgery. The reason I first learned about this clinic was because I read an article the doctor in charge had written in the newspaper, and I thought he must be someone with expertise in noses. Then I forgot about it, but this time I thought I would just go for a consultation. Instead, I ended up going ahead with the surgery. Personally, I am satisfied with both the consultation and the surgical result. In the first consultation, the director gave me a thorough consultation and explained in an easy way why alar reduction and other procedures suited my nose and how they would change it. I think it is important to explain clearly what part of the nose is a concern and what kind of result you want. I requested something as natural and as unnoticeable as possible, and they suggested two methods so I could choose between them. In the second consultation, I met with the doctor in charge. It may vary case by case, but the director confidently explained that there were definitely parts in my case that could be improved, and since I agreed as well, we proceeded with a simple surgery and finished. During the first week after surgery, it is hard to say there is absolutely no sign of it, but it is clear, a little swollen, and uncomfortable when smiling. The anesthesia hurt a little. These days I mostly wear a mask, so it does not really interfere with daily activities. If you follow the instructions and apply the ointment well, the swelling goes down by the second week and it gradually looks more natural. By the third week, it is almost unnoticeable, but people around me can definitely tell my overall impression has changed for the better. If you are worried about your nose, I recommend getting a consultation first. And this may differ by person, but in my personal opinion, at least alar reduction seems like something you can trust them with.
