For the first consultation, I waited a long time past my appointment time. The doctor himself did the consultation, and he said himself that he was very good at it. He mentioned 1.2 million won for two scar-laser sessions plus interim treatment, and I also consulted about other procedures, but the prices were high so I decided to do only the laser. After sending the deposit, I scheduled the procedure date, came that day, paid the remaining balance, and after the first treatment I did see some effect, but as I kept receiving treatments there wasn’t much of a big effect. It didn’t seem to be as effective as the doctor himself boasted. They don’t explain how things will proceed or roughly what treatment I’ll receive next time I come. Appointments are only possible weekday mornings, and they don’t tell you that in advance either. When I pointed out something unfair, the consultation manager and staff just stubbornly said it wasn’t their fault and couldn’t explain why. Because of this, I even went to the Korea Legal Aid Corporation to ask. As time went on, the progress was just so-so, and there were some restrictions, like not getting other procedures or plastic surgery and going to bed early at night. I was treated for several months, but even when I went at my appointment time, I was always made to wait, and the doctor seemed to become more and more high-handed, scolding me whenever I asked something... I didn’t want to fight, so I responded nicely, but inside I kept thinking, why should I be scolded when I paid my own money? I had mentioned this out of concern because I had experienced something like this at another hospital before, but it was the doctor who interpreted it too broadly. But when I heard the sounds of other patients getting treated (the hospital is small, and the treatment room is tiny, hidden only by a curtain without a door, so you can hear everything), I saw that they didn’t dare be rude to patients who pushed back strongly. Toward the end, maybe they got confused about the treatment area I wanted, because they did everything except that part. After waiting a long time to go in, they use needles to make wounds and inject some ampoule-like stuff, and when I think that I had to wait so long and took my whole day off for this, it feels inefficient. While doing the treatment, they told me to buy an ampoule every month and use it, and I also bought an ointment, but even the staff sometimes forgot about this cosmetic product, so I had to check and buy it myself. But I still don’t really know how effective the ampoule actually was. The improvement is a bit minimal compared to what the doctor explained. I was thinking about additional treatment, but decided not to get it. It makes me feel like if I were to do it, I’d rather get it done at another hospital. I don’t need kindness, but I don’t want to be treated in a way that doesn’t make sense again.
