This was my fourth nose surgery, so I had a lot of deliberation and then went ahead with it. After my first nose surgery, even after an AS revision, I developed contracture and my nose lifted again. Then at another hospital I had a third surgery with donor rib cartilage, but it still did not improve, so it was really hard. I was always stressed because from the front my nostrils showed too much. When I consulted with the director, he knew better than I did what kinds of surgeries I had undergone and explained everything so well that I trusted him and had the surgery. After surgery, I like the nose tip, the nostrils look slimmer from the front, and the side profile is nice too! As time passes, the swelling and shape are settling in. They said my nose was a complete mess at the time of surgery: there was severe scar tissue around the silicone on the bridge, the columella and nasal tip cartilages had all broken and become weak, and because donor rib cartilage had been placed with septal cartilage, the nasal tip was extremely weak. So mine was an extreme case. I wish I had met the director at my first surgery.. The director always checks my progress carefully every time and says it will settle in slowly, so he will keep watching it closely, which gives me confidence and gratitude.
