Nose Surgery review at Hwi (휘) · 2024-01-27

They explained the surgery process in great detail. They seemed very proud of it. They don't use donated rib cartilage, and they prefer rib cartilage over ear cartilage. They checked my nose by holding it to see whether the cartilage was strong, and also whether the ear cartilage was strong. They don't do CT scans. They said they do the surgery while keeping celebrity photos nearby. I brought photos of the kind of nose I like, but they didn't specifically point out that this couldn't be done. They just said that if you do it like this in the photo, it would look prettier, or that this kind of nose looks prettier. I talked about the kinds of noses I dislike, but I didn't really feel like they listened very carefully or that there was much communication. The consultation was long, and 80 out of 100 was explanation of the surgery process, while 20 was about the nose I like or my questions. The manager was kind and courteous, but there was a strong feeling of just wanting me to do it here. For my first surgery, it was expensive. The first digit is 4, but it would be fair to see it as 5 as well. It was my own fault for forgetting and not asking, but I didn't hear an explanation about how much silicone would be appropriate. I went with high expectations because people had recommended it through word of mouth, but personally it didn't really click with me. I especially felt that communication about the kind of nose I like or dislike was not very good. Even though I had my memo app open and wrote down the important things, all I could think about afterward was the surgical process. A revision consultation might be different, but for a first surgery, I passed. I'm in my early 20s, and the manager was in her 40s or 50s. Their age didn't matter to me, but the way she used a half-respectful, half-familiar tone and kept trying to persuade me by saying there was no need to go elsewhere felt way too strong. I am young, yes, but I felt like I was being treated like a child too much, so I ended up taking back my deposit. This is just my personal opinion, so please keep it in mind~
