First of all, I went in for a consultation and surgery because I wanted only ptosis correction for my monolid eyes. But after the surgery, the line was too high and became a sausage line, and when I went back for a follow-up 2 to 3 months later, the doctor asked if it had only been a month. He must have known it looked strange at that height. Then, after realizing it had been well over two months, he said I must be opening my eyes strangely. This was the part that made me angry. While talking, I looked at the treatment sheet and saw that ptosis correction had not been checked, only double eyelid surgery. When I got angry and asked what happened, he said he probably told me I was an eye that didn’t need ptosis correction lol At a major eye hospital, I had severe ptosis and needed ptosis correction, and it was even covered by private insurance, so how could he say I didn’t need it? He just kept saying nonsense, and in the end I’m stuck living with the sausage line I never wanted. When I went for another follow-up, they said the skin had been excised lol. Without any discussion, they cut away skin and even removed fat on their own, so in my early 20s my eyelids ended up sunken way in. lol Of course I’ve never seen anyone with worse sunken scarring than me, and the nurse didn’t even know the difference between excision and incision, so when she asked whether it was excision, I said it was incision, and she was like, what is excision anyway? She doesn’t even know the basics. There probably aren’t many people who will see this, but I hope it gets known widely.
