Re-reconstruction (slightly closing the lacrimal caruncle, for scar removal purposes) The doctor has a chic style, but it's not bad The clinic facilities feel like an old small neighborhood dermatology clinic It looks like they do various surgeries like liposuction and breast surgery There was an enormous amount of charting to do (they asked about all past surgery history) It seems like they have a lot of experience with inner corner surgery They showed a huge number of before-and-after photos They seem to do a lot of extreme eye cases, and I think the results are not bad I would have wanted to do it here if only my needs matched But the overall consultation process felt like the doctor's values came through more than the patient's + I imagined the future where communication after surgery would be difficult (if I asked something, the answer felt like, why are you even asking that?) I only wanted reconstruction and I went there for reconstruction, but.. They said closing it would make it look stuffy, so to match the symmetry they instead suggested opening one side more and only removing the scar, plus a long-term reconstruction + one-sided inner corner surgery In addition, they said that because I have lower scleral show, I need a surgery to pull the lower eye area upward? and that I should lower the double-eyelid line and have incisional ptosis correction
