The doctor used to work at a place famous for brow lift surgery, and then opened a new clinic, so I went for a consultation. The old place would extend the incision past the brows and into the nose area to solve all cases of drooping eyes. But after opening his own clinic, he said he would operate according to his own philosophy: because the scar from the inner brow area is noticeable, he makes the incision starting about one-third of the way along the eyebrow, so the scar is less visible, but the drooping at the inner corner of the eyes does not get improved. So he says he raises only the front half of the eye with his independent method of incision (widening the inner corner), but honestly I couldn’t really understand it. Originally, brow lift surgery is done on the brow area instead of the eye area in order to thin out heavy-looking eyes, but if you ignore the purpose of that surgery and only incise the front half, it doesn’t really make sense. Sure enough, looking at the post-op photos, the front part was barely improved, maybe only about 20%. If that’s the case, I think it might be better to accept some scarring and instead make the incision all the way to the inner brow area below the eyebrows so that all the drooping parts are lifted. It doesn’t seem like the front drooping improves as much as on YouTube suggests.
