No consultation fee. Unlike other hospitals, I left after talking with the manager for less than a minute about costs... (Since they use a fixed-price system anyway, the cost wasn’t different from other people’s.) The doctor spent a full hour on the consultation and was extremely thorough. It was so thorough that I wouldn’t have minded paying a consultation fee. Even though I’ve had nose surgery several times, I hadn’t studied much before my surgery, so during the consultation I learned about my previous nose surgeries and got detailed information about autologous dermis too. That said, I’m still uncomfortable with the idea of autologous dermis leaving a scar all the way down to the butt, so if I ever think of it as a truly last resort, autologous-dermis nose surgery seems okay. I also felt like they would take responsibility for the patient to the end.
