When I was young, at another clinic, I didn’t think deeply about nose surgery and just chose L-shaped silicone based on appearance. It would have been fine if there were no problems, but unfortunately my nose was originally small and my skin was thin, so in less than a year the skin at the tip of my nose became too thin They said if I left it like that, the silicone could really protrude, so in a state of panic I started looking into revision surgery and in 2014 I found Bomnal as a clinic for autologous dermis nose surgery. That was actually the hardest time of my life then... but fortunately, as if heaven helped me, I met Director Cho Im-cheol, a benefactor. At the time I didn’t really understand dermis and just thought autologous tissue was safe, and I was thinking, “So that’s it, my days of living with a pretty nose are over. If autologous dermis is my only option, should I just be grateful that the silicone can be removed and there are no side effects?” I was struggling mentally every day. But in the end, not only did he make it suit my face much better than the silicone had, he made it so beautifully, as if it were natural talent, and of course since it was autologous tissue I didn’t have to worry about side effects, so I’ve been living very happily. Because the amount of absorption in dermis is hard to predict, I worried just like in the review posts that too much might be absorbed, but in my case more remained than expected, so even now, 7 years later, people still often say my nose bridge is high. And my biggest worry was honestly that the nasal tip made with autologous dermis would be less pretty than silicone, so I had almost emptied my mind in a half-enlightened state (I think there are many people like me who especially worry that the tip won’t be pretty), but the nasal tip made with ear cartilage and a lump of autologous dermis actually comes out quite rounded, refined, and pretty, more than I expected. Of course it isn’t as sharply high as silicone, but it is absolutely not the blunt, rough shape I was afraid of; it has a soft, half-curved line. People around me honestly said that the old silicone nose looked like a sculpture but only the nose stood out, while the current nose tip fits my face much more harmoniously. I think so too. In my memory, Director Jo was so worried early after surgery that he couldn’t relax his expression, worrying about whether the graft would take well and cause inflammation, whether the bridge would bend during the overcorrected period, and so on. He may have seemed strict and stiff, but I now know, even more than I did at the time of surgery, that it was because he was thinking only about how to get the best result. As those who are interested may know, autologous dermis nose surgery is honestly much harder for both the doctor and the patient than silicone nose surgery. Still, if the patient first understands the characteristics of this kind of surgery exactly, gets over the psychological and physical barrier, and the doctor knows how to handle the dermis material well, I cautiously think this may be the best way right now to upgrade a naturally given nose in the most natural and safe way. Director Cho Im-cheol, even though I never went back to see you again, I am always thankful in my heart. I made you suffer too much with all kinds of worries, and at the time I was mentally so weak that I burst into tears at the drop of a hat, so you must have been very upset. Thanks to you, I am really doing well now. I sincerely wish you health and happiness always. ** Ah, and...! If anyone had surgery with silicone and still has no particular problems but feels anxious, I want to tell you not to be too anxious. I chose the dermis option because I had problems after silicone surgery; I did not write this review to create the fear that silicone = side effects and make people feel they must revise a currently problem-free nose with dermis! But if side effects do unfortunately happen, don’t despair too much: 1) there is the excellent alternative of dermis, and 2) if side effects occurred with silicone, I truly hope the next surgery will, as much as possible, not choose silicone again. That is the heartfelt advice born from my painful experience that I can offer. I hope this helps even a little for anyone heartbroken or panicking about their nose. Thank you for reading this long, rambling post:)
