Nose Surgery review at Uain (우아인) · 2023-05-02

I visited 15 places just doing consultations, and after choosing one in the end, I had the surgery there! First of all, because I went to 15 places, I had second consultations at a few places I narrowed down, and they were just as kind as before. One reason I chose them was that they were conservative about surgery, which I liked. At other places, no matter what surgery it was, they seemed to include osteotomy as if it were mandatory during the consultation, but for my nose, it wasn't really necessary, so they recommended not doing it. They said my bilateral nasal bridge lines weren't flat and were already well-defined, so there wouldn't be much change even if they did it.... But they did say that if they shaved the dorsal hump, it might look lower from the front, so in both consultations they agreed, after my desperate request, to do only a slight osteotomy It was my first surgery in my life, so from the moment I went into the operating room on the day of the procedure I was shaking, but the nurses held my hand during anesthesia, praised me a lot, and that was nice The overall atmosphere of the hospital is warm! It's not a stylish, Instagram-aesthetic, clean marble interior or anything like that,, but it's cozy...! I once read in some post that swelling goes down in as little as 1-2 months and as long as 6 months, and during that time many people get stressed because the shape is so different from what they imagined, then end up booking revision surgery or early removal, so if possible, right on the day of surgery, ask the director in charge to take photos right before the splinting step after everything is done (after stitching it all up), because that looks almost the same as how it will look once the swelling goes down (they said it won't be exactly the same because swelling also happens during surgery). They said to look at those photos and find peace of mind, so I asked the manager for that, and they really did it for me I'm at the peak of swelling now, but I'm getting comfort from looking at the photos,,,, Actually, around the time they were finishing all the stitches, I woke up from the sedation and overheard the conversation between the manager and the doctor. Doctor: Why are you taking pictures? Manager: Ah, you said you'd be so curious while waiting for the swelling to go down, so you asked us to take them right before the splinting when there's less swelling~ Doctor: Well, I guess you would be curious too. They laughed, and I was like, wow, they're so kind,,,, and that's when I started talking,,,, the sedation nonsense started... ^..^ Since I woke up well from the sedation, I could drink water right away, and I forgot the medicine was strong and ate only three spoonfuls of porridge before taking it, so I felt nauseous and threw up in the middle of the night It was Sunday, so the hospital was closed, but I texted the manager and they replied I liked that they also took good care of aftercare!! *What is with the dislikes?
