I went in for a consultation about lower eyelid fat repositioning. I had to wait almost two months just for the consultation appointment. I figured it was because there were so many people there (the director was busy with surgery), and that actually made me trust them more. I tend to think that a doctor who has done a lot of surgeries does them well. I went in thinking I’d probably go ahead with surgery, but honestly I’m torn now. The director’s consultation was so bad. He kept talking about lower blepharoplasty, which I wasn’t interested in, and whenever I asked about lower eyelid fat repositioning, he kept acting like I just didn’t understand it. In the end, people say the important thing is the doctor’s skill.. As someone who thinks the decisive indicator of skill is surgical experience (number of surgeries), I felt like the director’s attitude may be why not many people choose to have surgery there. The manager was casual and kind, but because of the director I’m conflicted.
