About 8 years ago I had a consultation, and because it was a revision rhinoplasty, they recommended using costal cartilage. At the time, using costal cartilage was a bit of a trend, and Brown was also really thriving then. I was a little worried because they said they used donated costal cartilage. In any case, since it meant using someone else’s cartilage, I couldn’t help worrying about the possibility of side effects. The price difference was only a few hundred thousand won, so it was a burden, but the hospital itself is large, so I spent a lot of time debating because the aftercare and equipment preparation seemed thorough. Most importantly, it was reassuring that a board-certified plastic surgeon was on site. In the end, I didn’t do it, but two of my friends did. I feel like I understand exactly what aesthetic Brown is pursuing. It doesn’t seem like my style, so I passed.
