The doctor is definitely not the type to speak warmly; if anything, he is very blunt, so people who go without any prior information may be a little shocked. But he absolutely does not make empty promises or give commercial sales pitches, and he honestly points out, in a brutally frank way, what can and cannot be done and the limits of what fat grafting can achieve on my face. As a patient, if your expectations for fat grafting were high, you might feel a bit disappointed, but if you listen to what he says, he is usually right, so even if you have the surgery at another clinic, it would help a lot to at least get a consultation. His surgical style seems to be to make things very natural and safe, even if that means a little disappointment or a touch-up later. (He absolutely does not overcorrect, recommends fresh fat from 1st and 2nd harvests even though it is more troublesome than frozen fat, and after going through it myself, I realized that with fat grafting, if you just avoid overcorrection, you can avoid most major side effects, so after surgery I understood even more why he was so sensitive about guarding that point.) In the end, I think he has a strong aesthetic sense for analyzing a refined face, and he is a doctor with conscience and a sense of duty. The way I write this makes it sound like I’m just praising him, but in fact I was someone who got angry during the consultation because of his rather direct tone and almost ended up fighting with him several times lol. So if he knows who I am, he may wonder why I wrote this. Still, if I look at it calmly, separate from my feelings, nothing he said during the consultation was wrong, and the surgical style and results matched the direction I wanted, so I ended up having the surgery at this clinic. In the end, results are all that matter, and because the outcome was very good, I’m grateful to the director now. The facial contours were filled in very naturally yet with visible effect, so the line I hated so much disappeared and improved. From what I can see, there is still no sagging. And if you worry that doing it naturally means a lower survival rate, when I recently went to another clinic for a contour consultation, they also checked the facial soft tissue status, including the buccal area and facial fat, with a CT program and said, 'You said you had side-cheek fat grafting, but looking at it, the fat really survived well.' I was privately worried that everything might disappear, but after the initial major swelling went down (I was surprised the swelling right after surgery was not severe), the line that appeared around 4 months seems to have stayed almost exactly the same. For any field, when you are truly obsessed with getting a good result, it seems right that it becomes painful and tiring rather than enjoyable. Maybe this director was also such a person. There were ups and downs, but I was rewarded with a good result, so I’m grateful. I hope all of you also take the time to visit several places, and instead of sweet talk that targets a patient’s weakened state, listen carefully even to advice that feels unpleasant, so that in the end you can get a good surgery that leaves you satisfied with the result.
