Eye Surgery review at Eiem (에이엠) · 2024-06-01

I consulted about sunken eyes + eyes with lots of upper eyelid fat, and the wait was about 15 to 20 minutes. The director’s consultation felt kind, neat, and ordinary. They recommended medial canthoplasty (because the benefits outweigh the scars) + incision (they said they decide at the time of surgery whether to remove fat and whether to do ptosis correction..) They said the surgery time would be about 1 hour for the line design and about 4 hours for the actual surgery.. They said the reason there isn’t as much swelling as at other places is because they do things like cooling in the middle after surgery. And I spent a really long time in consultation with the manager more than with the director.... First, they kept showing me the director’s blog, showing examples of other patients, and saying they only do a small number of surgeries per day... that this is a hospital known for revisions, so they would do well on the first surgery to avoid needing a revision in the first place. But despite all the good things, it felt too hectic somehow. They kept shaking their legs and were a little too noisy.. I couldn’t get a word in because the manager kept talking, and maybe because I’m introverted, I left feeling emotionally drained.. I did put down the reservation deposit (200,000 won, 100% refund if canceled 4 days in advance).. but looking again, the line the director marked seemed a bit higher than the line I want, so I don’t think I’ll do it
