Consultation with the manager: The manager was kind, but it felt like they were gauging people before asking for a deposit. They said the deposit discount was only possible for same-day booking, but since it seemed like I might go ahead with surgery, they gave me a one-week hold period. It wasn’t a satisfying consultation, just one that kept repeating the same thing while showing photos and saying, this is how it will be. Doctor consultation: It was obvious the doctor wanted to finish quickly. I’m not necessarily expecting a doctor to be overly friendly, but a doctor is also someone selling a service, and it felt like they didn’t really want to sell it. Maybe because they already had enough patients and didn’t need one more, but it didn’t look good. They do take CT scans, but they didn’t do it properly, so the CT came out badly. When the doctor came into the consultation room, he looked at the CT and told the manager to do it properly. The consultation fee was 30,000 won, and honestly it felt like a complete waste. The hospital uses an entire building, and it feels like a converted photo studio. The CT room is in the basement, and you have to go down a very narrow staircase on foot (it’s so narrow that if you meet someone, you can’t go down). Even so, the reason I’m considering this hospital is that the doctor is skilled, the price is much lower than other hospitals, and it’s the only hospital that adjusts the surgery method to the patient’s needs.
