Eye Surgery review at Aikon (아이콘) · Double eyelid, buried suture · 2021-10-14

I had a buried suture surgery in June. First of all, the consultation with the consultant was quite long, and with the doctor in charge, was it even 1 minute? And that was it. But somehow it gave the feeling that since he was someone who only specialized in surgery, he would only be good at surgery, so I thought maybe it would be okay to trust him. Also, I decided to go ahead because he was a doctor from Seoul National University and affiliated with Wonjin. Right now the swelling is still going down, so I have to keep watching. The line heights on both sides are not the same yet. To other people it is noticeable at a glance, and above all, only one side's eye corner has gone up. The clinic says that is how my eyes originally were, but I never knew my eyes were like that until now. Even looking at photos before surgery, I couldn't tell at all, but the consultant showed me the pictures and talked like that, and I got the feeling they were trying to keep me from meeting the director. I think the reason was that they were worried I might hear negative things about them. That is only my guess, but I had a lot of complaints about the consultant. Whenever a patient asked questions before surgery, the answers were very perfunctory, and they spoke as if buried suture surgery was not even really surgery. When I contacted them because I was scared and wanted to have sedation, they also said they were on a day off right now and that I only needed to fast for 2 hours. I found out it was supposed to be 6 hours, so I went hungry from the previous evening. When I visited after 1 month to check the line and surgical result, I didn't understand why they had asked me to come. They just say it went well and that's it. They barely listen to what the patient says, and even though the director I managed to meet insisted we check the line again after 3 months, the desk staff did not make the appointment time. It was really absurd! And I thought I should never go back.. For now, the eyes are still under observation, and as I said, they are uneven.
