I went for a consultation, and it wasn’t a large hospital in Gangnam, but it was located on the main road at Hakdong Intersection. Rather than a big hospital with lots of ghost doctors or problems, I looked for a place run by a single doctor. The advantage was that they reassured me about ghost surgeries with local anesthesia, and I felt confident because it was actually a place where only one doctor works. The reviews on the website mostly said people went there through introductions from acquaintances, and that it looked natural. The overall reviews were very good. The director who consulted me was a man, and he said they don’t do advertising or marketing and leave even bad reviews up on the website.. It really felt like they relied on word of mouth. That part was trustworthy. However, I was a little unsure about the line they drew for me, so I’m a bit conflicted. And maybe because he seemed a little unmotivated, when I said to draw the line the way I wanted, he just said it would be too thick and that was it... The consultation fee was 10,000 won, and for the first time I thought it was a waste. I guess there’s a doctor that suits each person, so I should do more research and decide.
