My younger sibling and the doctor’s aesthetic preferences seemed to match, so they said they wanted to do it here... But from the consultation onward, I felt this place was not for me. I cautiously asked whether osteotomy had any side effects, and they said absolutely not, in a tone like, why are you even asking that? That was when I made my decision. I mean, they may be confident because they’re skilled, but no procedure can have absolutely zero side effects, and I think the doctor would know that too. It just felt like that was how they were speaking to me.
