I have an underbite with bad jaw shape and size, so I didn't think orthodontics alone would give a dramatic effect, which is why I had double-jaw surgery. It’s not just about appearance; in my case, I also had a somewhat weak ability to chew and swallow food, and my speech was often slurred. But after the surgery and full recovery, I’m extremely comfortable now, and I can speak with clear pronunciation. I had the surgery for functional reasons, not cosmetic ones, but the aesthetic side improved a lot too, so I gained confidence. Recovery was a bit hard, but for results like this, I’m more than satisfied.
