A full 10 years ago, when I was in high school, hospitals for double eyelid surgery like Lee Hak-soo, New Line, ABC, Haneul, and so on were really famous, and among them I was drawn in by the fact that they only specialized in eyes. When I went, they turned my eyelids inside out and pointed out that the thickness of my upper inner eyelid fold was the thickness that suited me best. When I said I wanted an inner canthoplasty too because I had a Mongolian fold, they discouraged me. At the time, other hospitals charged about 800,000 to 1,000,000 won, but they quoted a large amount of 1.78 million won. Still, I said okay and had incisional surgery. The surgery was a huge, huge, huge success, and I heard tons of people say I looked like a dragon. But in the end, I got the inner canthoplasty done at another hospital a few years later. It seems like Hak-soo-sensei is really good only at double eyelids. Still, people around me who had surgery with Hak-soo-sensei all turned out fine without sausage-like lids, so it seems like those two procedures, in-the-line and incisional, are the ones he never fails at.
