The consultation was conducted in this order: coordinator - doctor - coordinator. The first coordinator was the kindest I’ve met at any clinic. She was confident that she had worked with the doctor for a long time and that he would examine me very thoroughly, so I went into the consultation with the doctor looking forward to it. The doctor said that nose surgery is about balancing safety and aesthetic results, and that anything obviously noticeable is absolutely not okay. He looked at my nose from multiple angles for a long time, then moved to another room and examined the inside of my nose directly. At another clinic they talked about osteotomy, but this doctor said my nose is crooked so osteotomy should not be done, and that 2 mm of silicone would be best. He also said a slight alar reduction would be good. Up to that point I felt it would definitely be safe to do, so I was ready to have the surgery, but the final coordinator pushed a little, so I’m still thinking about it.
