As soon as I got there, during the consultation with the director, I took off my mask and they looked at my overall face, pointed out other areas, and told me I looked better with the mask on, which was unpleasant. I also heard them say, "How can you live with those eyes?" so I felt extremely offended after the consultation. (In reality, at other hospitals they said it was only something that could be covered with makeup, so even if I had surgery it wouldn’t be dramatic, and that it would be okay to just live with it, and I’ve never had my face criticized anywhere else.) The consultation with the staff member also didn’t feel professional at all, and overall it felt like I was being judged for my looks, which was annoying.
