Strongly not recommended. Ugh, I wish I could post about other places too, lol. I still tremble when I think about Dr. Kim Dae-hee. There’s no surgical skill and no medical service here; after my second surgery I ended up with asymmetry, so I’m now looking into a third AS procedure and a fourth revision. Before the second surgery, I was unhappy with a weak double crease and wanted an in-out line visible when I opened my eyes. The doctor said my skin was thick so an out line would be burdensome and that he would make it around an in-out line, but after surgery one side ended up with an out line and asymmetry. At the one-month checkup, they said the thick skin meant swelling and that I’d need to watch it for over a year. When I went back after a year, maybe even he thought it wasn’t right and suggested revision. But then they asked why I hadn’t come for regular follow-ups (I wasn’t informed and never got a text, but the asymmetry was so severe that I went ahead with AS anyway), and said because I came after a year I’d have to pay 1 million won for AS lol. Fixing the asymmetry and lowering the line, in the end I was left with severe scarring, front-canthus nail-like scars, and sausage-like swelling. When I complained, his pride was huge and he would sneer at patients and try to lecture them. About 20 days after the third surgery, the front part of the incision opened and the internal fixation thread showed, and when I asked about it he got irritated and said he couldn’t know whether it happened because I touched it or something like that(?) I was scared and didn’t touch it at all, but he blamed me. When I asked for a resuturing, he said it wasn’t necessary, and it ended up scarring widely. The moment you file a complaint, the doctor is truly rude. He absolutely cannot admit his own mistakes and even said I had a victim complex lol. So annoying. If you have thick skin or sunken eyes, think carefully. Only people who like a glamorous look and who do their own natural adhesion or partial-incision eye surgery on themselves will probably succeed. I’ve recently gone to consult at other plastic surgery clinics, and three places turned me down; even people around me and doctors are sympathetic. -
