I went for a revision-eye-surgery consultation, and the manager gave off a very comfortable feeling. The doctor was quiet, gentle, and seemed like someone who would do the work carefully. I did get a somewhat professional vibe, but in the end I didn't choose them because my case is pretty extreme, so I went with a place whose name I'd heard in revision surgery circles for a long time. The manager empathized with my eye concerns, and the doctor was nice too.
