I went for a consultation last spring. They felt way too much like they saw patients as money. Whenever I mentioned the part that was stressing me out, they would say this was good, that was good, and then add more items to the estimate. I went there desperate, clinging to a straw, but the feeling that they were using me as a cash cow was so strong that I didn’t get the surgery. I threw away the estimate sheet, so I don’t remember the exact amount and just wrote down the approximate figure I remember.
