While all the other clinics strongly and excessively recommended cutting 35 mm off my nasal alae, this was the only place that said even cutting 25 mm would improve my appearance, and that they would cut 25 mm during surgery, show me, and cut more if I was not satisfied. (Because nasal alae cannot be restored once cut, you absolutely must be careful!!) After cutting 25 mm, I sat up and looked, and it was fine, so I decided to keep it at 25 mm. I did it to improve an unsophisticated-looking impression (the so-called Southeast Asian look... When I lived in Southeast Asia for a year, everyone said I did not seem Korean;;) I like that my overall impression improved naturally. However, do not expect a dramatic effect. Because I have very large nasal bones, a deviated nose, and a hump nose, I would have needed a long recovery if I had nose surgery, so nasal alar reduction was the only choice I could make. If, like me, you only want an improvement in your overall impression, you will be satisfied.
