The clinic’s blog had a well-organized before-and-after comparison, so I used that as a reference. The after photos had a natural line, and they showed a wide variety of surgery cases, most of all, there was a surgery case that looked similar to mine, which seemed well done, so that was what I liked most. At the consultation, I talked about my sliced-off columella shape and areas like the step-off at the suture site from the first surgery. They said the columella could be lowered by building the nasal columella with costal cartilage, and that they would do their best to make the suture-site step-off as unnoticeable as possible, but it could not be completely solved. I have a slight dorsal hump (I like that), and when I said I wanted to keep it, the discussion became about filling the step-off based on the height of the hump. The step-off would be filled using temporal fascia... I mentioned my crooked nose a little (inherited), and they explained how the surgery should be done so that the crookedness would not show. For aftercare, if a hypertrophic scar appears, they do a scar injection. Basically, it’s swelling laser and scar-care dressing, I guess? Nothing dramatic, but the doctor seemed to control bleeding well, and in many reviews they said he performs surgery very neatly, so I thought, well, scar laser and that stuff can be done somewhere else, let’s just go to a place that’s good at surgery, and put down a deposit.... There are a lot of things to worry about, and they said there would be another consultation before the surgery, so I plan to talk more in depth then......
