After my first surgery with autologous costal cartilage, I decided to have the whole nose removed because of discomfort and side effects, and went there for a consultation. I showed photos and explained the problematic parts. I did not know exactly how the surgery had been done, so I just said that the tip had been raised with autologous costal cartilage and the columella lowered, and that silicone had been used for the bridge. We set a date and did it under local anesthesia. Being awake while they opened the nose and did all sorts of things was really, really scary lollllllll So
