Eye Surgery review at Ilmiri (일미리) · Eye revision surgery · 2026-05-22

A friend had surgery here, so I booked with the head surgeon and went in for a consultation. The consultation was short compared with the waiting time, but they clearly pointed out what was wrong with my eyes right now, which made me feel relieved, as if the frustration and unresolved feeling from other hospitals had been cleared away. I was annoyed while waiting, but I thought it was worth waiting for the consultation. They told me that even for revision surgery, a non-incisional option was possible, but because my eye would easily loosen, they strongly recommended incision. I brought photos of a semi-out look, and they said it was possible to match the photo, but because of the inner corners of my eyes, it would look prettier if I also did upper canthoplasty together to create the line. I wondered, after hearing that, whether upper canthoplasty was really necessary, but when they drew the line they used one extra stick to open it, and the feeling between when they drew the line with the opening and when they did not was so different that if I have surgery here, I thought I should do canthoplasty too... I heard people say the director's consultation has strong likes and dislikes, but I did not really feel that way. Maybe because I went there for revision surgery? I liked that they clearly explained what was possible and the limits, which felt like scratching exactly where it itched. Also, I could feel even during the explanation that they were trying to reduce scarring during the surgery process, and the staff were kinder than I expected. Except for the waiting time, I liked everything. The staff were so kind that I could not even get angry about the waiting time, seriously
