In the end I gave up on having surgery here. I even put down a reservation deposit, lol. First, the doctor did the consultation incredibly carelessly (and when they’re like that, it naturally feels like the surgery will be careless too). He was tugging hard at my nose and staring at me like, “Do it like this, and what else do you want to know?” so I had to tiptoe around and ask questions as the customer. It also felt like they would absolutely not handle complications here, lol. Of course I didn’t have the surgery, so I don’t know the results, but even for revision surgery that new method felt suspicious, and when I consulted elsewhere they said, “Why wouldn’t plastic surgeons use a method that packs and inserts cartilage? Are we idiots not to use it? Even if it’s patented, people all adapt it and use modified versions. If it were good, everyone would use it, so there’s a reason they don’t.” That made me give up.
