I looked through communities, Gaasa, Yeowuya, Babitalk, and so on, and there was almost no advertising. After wandering through open chat rooms and doing a lot of legwork, I found a place that only had word-of-mouth buzz... There are many reviews saying the director is humane, kind, and very skilled. In particular, there were some people who were a little dissatisfied at Baijun, but I only saw people planning to get AS again at Baijun -> Normally if they were dissatisfied, they'd look into another clinic.... That part really attracted me. Even in various side-effect open chat rooms, I couldn't find anyone who had functional side effects. (Especially, I couldn't find a single case of contracture.) I made a consultation appointment and met the manager and the director, and both were very kind. Especially, the director's long surgical career (26 years) and credentials (bachelor's and doctorate from Seoul National University) were reassuring, and the fact that the managers themselves had received procedures/surgeries from the director (the managers showed before-and-after photos) was one of the reasons I decided to have surgery.. A hospital where the staff themselves trust him. The hospital facilities were very clean and quiet, and I liked that it didn't feel like a large hospital at all. The price was almost as expensive as ㅌㄹㄷ, but they gave a pretty big discount if you agreed to provide before-and-after photos for use in marketing, etc. Among the clinics I consulted for rib cartilage surgery, this was the only one where donated rib cartilage was more expensive than autologous rib cartilage surgery. They said they use an entire bag of donated rib cartilage and dispose of whatever is left over immediately afterward. (Usually, with donated rib cartilage, the unused portion is stored and used for another patient.) Because it was a nose revision surgery, they recommended autologous rib cartilage for the tip, and used ear cartilage for the columella/nasolabial angle. Silicone was used for the bridge. The silicone is also imported separately by the director from a contracted supplier (supposedly more stable and much pricier), and depending on the patient's nose shape, the director personally processes the silicone shape using 3D CAD so it fits exactly. After the surgery, the manager was very kind in handling aftercare and answering questions. The director also took care of follow-up treatment kindly. It was a very small, short nose with no columella and very visible nostrils, so it was a difficult nose to operate on, but I am very satisfied now, and I hope the director keeps operating there for a long, long time.
