It wasn’t as unfriendly as people say. Of course, it wasn’t a warm, soft style either. Contrary to my worries, they said they could confidently do a revision of my eyes, even though it was a second revision. When I asked about my concerns, they pulled up cases they had operated on themselves and explained them. It felt like I could ask everything I wanted to ask. Some parts felt like they answered too casually. It didn’t feel very attentive. Even when I asked for the doctor’s opinion, there were parts where they said, ‘You decide.’ It wasn’t that I couldn’t trust them, but I also couldn’t fully trust them. It felt ambiguous
