They took photos with a DSLR and did side-profile Photoshop right there during the consultation. The consultation wasn't just about making the nose flashy; they considered facial proportions and the overall vibe. They designed it to make the midface look as short as possible. They said if the midface is long and the glabella gets higher, it will look even longer, so the end goal is to focus on raising the tip rather than the bridge. They would shave a little of the hump, lay down a thin silicone implant, and use septal cartilage and ear cartilage to raise the tip as much as possible. That said, because they wouldn't raise the glabella or bridge much, there would be limits to how much they could raise it with a tip-focused approach. When I asked whether we could use costal cartilage to raise it even more, they said using rib cartilage for a first surgery would be overkill, and even if it could be used, raising it only with septal cartilage and ear cartilage was the optimal approach. Because I was asymmetrical, the starting and ending points of the alar base were different on both sides, so they said I would have to take that into account even after surgery. They also said it might be good to do the nasolabial angle, and when I saw the nasolabial angle they did on their blog, it looked pretty, so I agreed. Both the doctor and the manager were kind.
