Compared with another clinic, where they did not really answer when I asked, it felt like everything I had been frustrated about was finally cleared up. Because my nose tip is slightly upturned, the plan was to use costal cartilage for the tip. However, they said they would perform septal reconstruction surgery, and I hesitated because it seemed like an overly aggressive plan for my nose. It is not simply septal lengthening, but a method used for a nose with a damaged septum, so I hesitated. Still, I did feel reassured that the surgical skill and results were clearly guaranteed, and that I could trust them with my nose. If the estimate is that high, shouldn't the results be clearly guaranteed too for it to be ethical?! What concerned me was that they explained that postoperative dorsal bridge or columella deviation, or nasal obstruction symptoms, could occur, but I did not hear any solution for that. In one sense, that could be called honest and ethical, but if I spend 16 million won on surgery and end up with functional nasal obstruction or deviation, then what? In the end, I did not go here because the solution was too aggressive for my nose and because of the cost. I do not want my normal septum touched.
