I went in for a consultation about silicone removal, and overall it was a hospital I trusted a lot. I was worried and tense because it was a removal surgery, but the staff responded calmly and kindly, which put me much more at ease. The consultation with the director left a strong impression too, because he did not speak vaguely or beat around the bush; he clearly explained, based on the condition of my nose, why he would proceed this way and what my options were, so it was easy to understand. As expected from someone who has been operating for a long time, it felt solid. If you go for a consultation, you will know what I mean. And they recommended an open procedure to remove the silicone and capsule, and for the tip they said they would reuse the existing septal autologous cartilage, so I felt especially relieved that there would be no additional cartilage harvest. He also explained that autologous cartilage is a good material, so there is no need to discard it, which made me trust him more, and I also felt less burden because the incision would use the existing scar line. What I liked most was that they explained it would not just be a removal and done, but that they would sufficiently consider the aesthetic shape of the nose after removal as well. At this point, this is the hospital I am most inclined toward.
