I first had a preliminary consultation with the consultation manager, then waited and saw the surgeon. The hospitals I visited before all said they would support the nose tip with septal cartilage plus ear cartilage, but here they said they do not use ear cartilage itself, so donor rib cartilage or autologous costal cartilage is absolutely necessary. I could not choose between ear cartilage and rib cartilage, so that was very disappointing. During the consultation with the surgeon, it felt like the consultation was being done from a somewhat distant position.
