I started looking into double eyelid consultations because I didn't want my eyes to look heavy, but after reading reviews I started wanting to be greedy about canthoplasty too. It seems like eyes look prettier if you do them together... So I only looked at reviews for double eyelid surgery plus canthoplasty and went around consulting at places that looked pretty, but most of them said to do all four types of canthoplasty. But this place only recommended front canthoplasty to match my gaze. They said if we do the front corner on my current eyes, too much of the caruncle would show and my eyes might look too close together, so if I only do upper front canthoplasty and also do back and lower canthoplasty together, my eyes would look about 1.5 times bigger than they are now. I also didn't think that making everything wider was the only way for eyes to look bigger, so to be on the safe side I booked double eyelid surgery with just three canthoplasty procedures. During the consultation, the doctor kept saying that canthoplasty should consider the eye shape so the shape doesn't get distorted and fits the face, and that for the outer canthoplasty they use a method that fixes it to the periosteum so it won't reattach. That kind of detailed explanation really stuck in my mind more than other places. Now that I've set the surgery date, I feel a little bittersweet but also excited and nervous at the same time, I hope the surgery goes well too!
