After the CT scan, I had a consultation. I was told that if removal is done, the bridge of the nose could become indented, and if that happens, they would show before-and-after photos. They said I need to have a clear standard for when I would choose removal and when I would choose revision surgery. If my condition gets bad during surgery, they might use an implant. I liked that they also carefully reviewed my previous surgery records and explained everything. It was a consultation that made me realize, early in my search, that removal should not be thought about so casually. Because of my prior surgery records, maybe the estimate was for revision surgery rather than removal, and I was surprised that the price was so high.
