I went for a consultation because of the visibility of my old L-shaped silicone implant. Since I had only had surgery with silicone in the past, they said I did not need to worry about removal causing collapse or a lifted look, and that the pressed-down nasal bone and skin would recover over time. They said it would return to my original nose.. The surgery would take about an hour and a half with a closed approach, and they said they do not tie the cartilage with separate sutures when repositioning it, so I am a bit worried whether the cartilage that has been pressed down for a long time will hold well.
